Highlights

The January/February/March issue of “Hydro” is online. The special coverage “BIM - Building Information Modeling”, on page 12, shows that an important movement for the digital transformation of construction industry is the BIM adoption, an efficient management tool that gathers detailed information in an organized and integrated manner. See on page 28 the article “Evaluation of energy efficiency in water pumping systems”, a work that analyzes the energy efficiency of Sabesp's water pumping systems, based on criteria such as measurement, quality of data obtained and efficiency values. Furthermore, on page 36, the article “BIM in hydraulic building systems: today and tomorrow”, showing that having the BIM model is not enough. It takes a process so that the result is closer to the reality of the work. Otherwise, with the same current flow of information, BIM will be just an exquisite change in the presentation of drawings that were previously developed by schematics or in 2D. This issue brings also the update “Valves”, “Chemical and biological products for water and wastewater treatment” buyers’ guides and “Engineering, contracting & service companies” directory.
